SALAMIS EXPRESS I (ΣΑΛΑΜΙΣ ΕΞΠΡΕΣ Ι)

-Salamis Express

Built in 1996 (age 28). Registered in Chalkida. Current line: None (laid-up in Salamina)

The small passenger boat SALAMIS EXPRESS I was built in Greece in 1996 for service on the Piraeus-Salamina line (reaching the ports of Kamatero and Paloukia) under Salamis Express. She stayed on that line until 2000, when she was transferred to the Perama-Salamina line (still reaching the ports of Kamatero and Paloukia). She kept operating there along with her fleetmate, the SALAMIS EXPRESS III, for the next 16 years, until she returned on the Piraeus-Salamina line in 2016 (reaching the port of Selinia), replacing the BOB SFOUGKARAKIS of Kavouris Shipping Company which was deployed on the Perama-Salamina line, therefore being  the smallest passenger ship operating in Piraeus at the time. She returned again to the Perama-Salamina line in 2019. She was laid-up in Salamina in 2020.
