POWER JET (ΠΑΟΥΕΡ ΤΖΕΤ)
-Sea Jets
Built in 1996 (age 28). Registered in Limassol. Current line: None (under refit in Salamina)
The high speed ferry POWER JET was built in 1996 in Australia, as the DELPHIN for the German company TT-Line GmbH. She began her career under the company's TT-Line Clipper brandname on the Rostock-Trelleborg line on the Baltic Sea. In 2002 she was renamed TT-DELPHIN. In 2005 she was sold to the Egyptian company United Company for Marine Lines and she was renamed ALMOTTAHEDAH 1. She began service in 2006 on the Hurghada-Duba line on the Red Sea. In 2012, due to her owners suffering from financial difficulties, the ship and all her fleetmates were laid-up in Hurghada. She remained there for five years, until she was sold in 2017 to the Greek company Sea Jets. She was temporarily renamed BLUE POWER, and she began a conversion in Elefsina in 2018, during which she was renamed POWER JET. Her conversion was completed in Salamina and in Chalkida in 2019, just after the end of the summer season. She began service in 2020, serving the Heraklion-Santorini-Naxos-Paros-Mykonos line. In 2021 she was inserted on the Heraklion-Santorini-Ios-Naxos-Paros-Mykonos line
