NISSOS POROS (ΝΗΣΟΣ ΠΟΡΟΣ)
-Poros Ferries
Built in 1986 (age 38). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Galatas Trozinias-Poros
The landing craft NISSOS POROS was built in 1986 in Greece, as the MEGANISI for the Greek company Coastal Lines Ionios Corporation, for service on the Ionian Sea. She was deployed on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Meganisi-Lefkada line, where she stayed for 21 years. In 2007, with the arrival of the company's newest acquisition, namely the MEGANISI II, the older MEGANISI was restricted to the Lefkada-Meganisi line, where she remained until 2009. In 2010, she was sold to Poros Ferries, was renamed NISSOS POROS, and was deployed on the Galatas Troizinias-Poros line, where she has been remaining ever since. Occasionally, she also makes trips transporting trucks carrying fuel and combustibles from Poros to Aegina.
