The small passenger boat KAPETAN YIANGOS was built in 1981 in Greece, initially operating as a tour boat in Poros. In 1984 she was acquired by the Milos-based company Mathioudakis Tours, and was converted in Syros. She began operating daily cruises around the island while also serving Kimolos on the Cyclades. She also underwent another conversion in Syros in 2000, whereupon she was further lengthened. She remains a popular ship in Milos even to date.
