ELENA A (ΕΛΕΝΑ Α)
-Agios Fanourios Ferries (2009-2024)
Built in 2009 (age 16). Was registered in Piraeus. Current line: None in Greece, sold overseas, reportedly to a Russian company
The double-ended ferry ELENA A was ordered in 2008 by the Greek company Nikolaïdis NE, which is based in Salamina. She was due to be completed under the name AGIOS FANOURIOS I, but she was sold, while still under construction, to Agios Fanourios Ferries, who completed her in 2009 in Greece. She was renamed ELENA A and she entered service on the Perama-Salamina line. After 13 years, she moved to the Rion-Antirrion line in 2022, and she remained there for two seasons. In 2024 she was reportedly sold to a Russian company, having presumably been renamed PANAGIYA.
