ACHAEOS (ΑΧΑΙΟΣ)

-2way Ferries

Built in 2006 (age 18). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Piraeus-Aegina-Agistri

The double-ended ferry ACHAEOS was built in 2006 in Greece, having been ordered by the Greek company 2way Ferries. She spent her debut season on the Piraeus-Aegina line on the Saronic Gulf, but after only three months she was transferred to the Igoumenitsa-Corfu line on the Ionian Sea, joining her then-2way Ferries fleetmate, namely the ANO CHORA II (now operating for Kerkyra Lines). She spent the next seven years of her career there, except during the 2011 summer season, when she was chartered to the Italian company Blunavy to operate on the Piombino-Elba line. She returned to her owners the following year, and she was again deployed on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu line. In 2014, her company deployed her back on the Saronic Gulf, assigning her on the Piraeus-Aegina-Agistri line, under the Saronic Ferries joint venture, which includes her company, Nova Ferries and formerly Hellenic Seaways. She is currently the youngest ferry on the Saronic Gulf.
